Mediation gives participants a focused opportunity to discuss concerns, consider options, and work toward resolution with a neutral facilitator. The approach emphasizes thoughtful preparation and decisions that can work beyond the immediate dispute.

Mediation is a facilitated negotiation. Rachel helps participants identify issues, consider options, and make informed choices; she does not decide the dispute, impose an agreement, or represent either participant. Each person may seek independent legal advice before making commitments.
The process considers whether participants can engage meaningfully and safely, including concerns about coercion, accessibility, and the practical demands of virtual meetings. Confidentiality and its legal exceptions are addressed before the session begins.
Family mediation can include discussion of children’s needs, parenting arrangements, and financial questions. Participants decide whether to reach an agreement, with attention to workable outcomes beyond the immediate disagreement.
